Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Associate General Counsel with strategic planning and execution; implement short- and long-term strategies impacting the legal function.

  • Ensure responsible and disciplined knowledge management for the Legal team and Company as appropriate, including, e.g., through template development and updates, self-service opportunities, internal and external trainings and materials, etc.

  • Design and maintain optimized legal processes, including, e.g., identifying, developing, and implementing process efficiencies through standardization and automation.

  • Provide the day-to-day operational direction and support to the Legal team on the various legal applications and processes, including, e.g. optimizing intake and assignment processes, workload distribution, and SLAs.

  • Build and provide metrics and data analytics for the Legal Team as a means to identify, report on and assess productivity, resource needs, impact and progress on key initiatives, cultural imperatives, process improvement and progress toward goals, both within and outside the department.

  • Stack Rank projects, based on priority, including to obtain Product and other cross functional engagement.

  • Lead/manage Legal projects according to priority. Maintain project documentation and track projects to ensure deadlines are met and goals are achieved.

  • Collaborate with project management teams to build short- and long-term roadmaps that align with overall strategy.

  • Assist AGC with update, develop, implement, and document Legal operations processes, policies and workflows, in collaboration with others, to increase efficiency, reduce risk, ensure compliance, and align with best practices.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to conduct analyses, define requirements, implement systems, and make approved process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain training materials, playbooks, and similar resources for the legal team.

  • Train and provide guidance to legal department staff within areas of operational and subject matter expertise.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as BT, Finance, P&C, Project Management, Security, Data Ethics, Commercial, Product, and Engineering as needed to achieve legal operational excellence.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the AGC to support the efficient operation of the legal department.

Qualifications:

  • Basic:

Bachelor degree;

Detail-oriented and strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

Minimum 3 years’ work experience in legal operations.

Great communication skills and result driven.

  • Preferred:

Work experience in tech companies preferred;

Experience as a paralegal or contract manager preferred.

Understanding of sale cycle preferred.

The approximate annual compensation range is $130,000.00 - $140,000.00. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
